01: discovery

a drafty and underutilized sun room was demolished in order to make way for a more sympathetic and useful 2 story addition featuring a library with wet bar and fireplace on the first floor, and a master bath and wardrobe suite on the second.

02: detailing

on this project we worked closely with the homeowners to develop detailed patterns for the wall and ceiling trim resulting in a richly appointed space. additionally, a creative manipulation of space on the second floor affords a significant amount of storage in the wardrobe and a high-functioning, yet cozy master bath.

03: delivery

the end product is a subtle extension of the existing home incorporating matching details and the re-use of vintage Hendricks tile roofing removed from the original sunroom and installed on the street side of the addition to maintain a consistent patina with that of the existing roof.
